Summit College

About Us:

Summit College is committed to help college and university students in the Triangle love God, love each other, and love our world by making the name of Christ famous on their campus, living their lives in the context of His church, and showing signs of God’s Kingdom in ways that bless their campus and the world for His name’s sake. We boil this down to Know God, Grow Together, and Go Now.

At West Club, we are made up of students from Duke, Carolina (yes, this is possible), NC State, NCCU and Durham Tech. If you go to a school not listed above, let us know!  If you have questions about Summit College at West Club, contact Jon Chleboun or Daniel Drake.

Far from being just another meeting to go to, we want to be very intentional to cut to the chase of what our existence as believers is all about.

What We Do:

It’s very simple – we focus on 3 things:

Local Outreach. We love because Christ first loved us. We live right in the middle of Durham, and there are as many needs as there are people. Genuinely loving and serving people is an essential ingredient in our mission to spread the good news of Jesus to the people around us. For students who spend the majority of their time on campus, community involvement broadens perspective on our world. We partner with the teams that are listed here.

Small Groups. True community happens in small groups. Who would you turn to for support if your life fell apart? In small groups we dive into scripture, build relationships, serve together, and support each other. You have the option of multi-generational groups or groups of your fellow students.

Serving the Church. We move from being spectators to players. Imagine walking into a church where no one said “Hello” to you, offered you coffee, took care of your kids, put words on the screen for you to sing, or cleaned up after you when you spilled that coffee. The worship services offer a variety of ways that we can serve the people who come on Sundays, including First Impressions, Kids Ministry, Production, and Worship.
